Francis Augusto is unlike most practioners I know as he didn’t come from a creative background, he started as a youth worker and originally studied phycology. However, he found his path within the photography industry.
His work focuses on the human experience and is a mix of both film and digital. Augusto is confident when working with strangers as he askes to take strangers photos on the street or wherever he ends up. As well as portraiture Augusto likes to travel.Augusto is also working on personal projects .My favourite being "where the heart is" which explores our relationship with "home" especially during the pandemic, Which further evokes emotional responses within the subjects.

Augusto is a storyteller, ensuring all his images represent the subject’s story. Sometimes he is in the thick of it like the festival shots and other times he is stood back, constantly documenting the everyday, capturing everyday experiences in a genuine way.
